They key to success as it relates to the physical improvement for athletes is made manifest by selecting the most appropriate exercise protocols. As a coach you can only make this selection by first identifying the athletes present state and then their desired outcome. Each category contain multiple selections that focus more closely on different goals within that category. As you will note, there is no “fat loss” program. This is intentional as fat loss should always be achieved through dietary changes and the accompanying training protocols should be established to serve the greater goal of either increased muscularity, strength, conditioning and or proprioception. Educating your athlete on the importance of these distinctions is crucial to their success.
